Seasonal Hours: Lavender event: June 18th, 10-4: Gift shop, goodies, Gyspy Crafts and Collectibles tent. Open for small group tours & workshop by appointment
MoonShadow Lavender Farm is approximately 7 miles from Historic Downtown Albany. Our seven acre property is small and noncommercial. We enjoy the beauty and calm of lavender, and a lovely view of the Santiam River and the Cascade Range. Owners Ric and Gale Blasquez (and our chocolate lab, Lily) are hobbyists who love to be outdoors in the garden. We have grown L. angustifolia varieties of lavender since 2006. In 2010, we planted 600 more plants to include L. x intermedia varieties of Impress Purple, Giant Hidcote, Provence, and True Grosso. With approximately 900 plants in 13 varieties, MoonShadow has fresh lavender from June-August. A copper still from Portugal distills lavender for essential oil and hydrosol on site. We sell essential oils, sprays, a variety of homespun lavender products, fresh lavender, plants and garden goodies in our small gift shop. MoonShadow Lavender Farm also has 350 Pinot Noir grapevines for wine making. Ric’s Newport Seafood &Wine Festival-medal-winning-River Dog Red Pinot is enjoyed by friends and family!
Visit us at the Albany & Corvallis Farmer’s Market from June-October. We are also open for small group tours and workshops throughout the lavender season. Call us to make an appointment to visit our farm, and learn about growing, harvesting, and making lavender crafts and products, sip some lavender hibiscus lemonade and enjoy the view! Go to our website to get current details about OPEN HO– USE dates, workshops: wreath & wand making , “Plant to Product,” or specialized workshops to meet your small group interest. We hope to see you at MoonShadow….and “May the scent be with you!”
